Texas Scramble

1. Choose a team format

• 2-Player Teams: Each team has two player name and course-handicap fields.
• 4-Player Teams: Each team has four player fields. You may enter either three or four players; leave the unused fourth player blank for a three-player team.

2. Team handicap calculations

• 2 players: 35% of the lower course handicap + 15% of the higher course handicap.
• 3 players in 4-player mode: 25% of the lowest + 20% of the middle + 15% of the highest course handicap.
• 4 players: 25% of the lowest + 20% of the second-lowest + 15% of the third-lowest + 10% of the highest course handicap.
• Handicaps are sorted from lowest to highest before the percentages are applied. Team handicaps display to two decimal places.

3. Enter scores

• Enter each player's name and course handicap for the tees being played.
• Enter the team's total gross score after the round.
• Net score = gross score − team handicap.

4. Add teams and view results

• Select Add Team to create another team. The page scrolls to the new team and places the cursor in the first player's name field.
• Select Leaderboard on any team card to open the leaderboard page. Teams are ranked by lowest net score.
• Use Back to Teams to return to entries. You can also download the leaderboard as a CSV file.
• Only teams with valid handicaps and a gross score appear on the leaderboard.

These are the handicap allowances currently configured in this app. Confirm the applicable allowances with your tournament committee before official play.

Use these steps to create a shortcut icon for this website. This option does not install a separate app.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

1. Open this website in Safari.
2. Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow).
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If you don't see it, scroll to the bottom of the share sheet or tap Edit Actions.
4. Change the name to Texas Scramble if desired, then tap Add.

Android (Chrome)

1. Open this website in Chrome.
2. Tap the three-dot menu near the top-right.
3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app, if shown.
4. Confirm by tapping Add or Install.

If the option is missing, make sure you opened the published website in Safari on Apple devices or Chrome on Android, rather than inside another app's built-in browser.
